Welcome to the ALCAZAR BREWERY.
We are a twelve imperial barrel microbrewery specialising in brewing high quality traditional full mash cask ales and premium bottled beers. We offer our customers an extensive range of regular beers featuring Alcazar Aleat 4.0% abv,New Dawn 4.5%, Foxtale Ale 4.9%, Vixen`s Vice, 5.2% and our traditional India Pale Ale Windjammer IPA, 6.0%, brewed with North American hops.
These splendid ales are available almost always on draughtat our brewery tap.We also offer a number of regular occasional and seasonal brews including Black Fox 3.9% (mild),Nottingham Nog, 4.2%, Desert Fox4.3% (lager), Maple Magic 5.5% (a festive porter)and Bombay CastleIPA, 6.5%, brewed with English hops.
We embarked on the production of bottled beers in 2003 with the idea of celebrating the vibrant and colourful history of Sherwood Forest in the times of Robin Hood. There are six beers in this series, all of traditional English styles brewed with English malt & hops. Our first was Bowman`s Bounty (Robin Hood`s) a 7.0% Strong Pale Ale followed by Gaoler`s Ale (Sheriff of Nottingham`s) a 7.5% Old Ale, Devout Stout(Friar Tuck`s) a 8.0% Imperial Stout, LittleJohn`s Myth a 6.0% Robust Porter, Scarlet Fervour(Will Scarlet`s) a 5.5% Extra Special Bitter, and Maiden's Magic (Maid Marian`s) a 5.0% Brown Ale. These excellent beers are also available from time to time on draught at The Fox & Crown Brewpub.
