Nottingham Castle
Welcome to Nottingham Castle - a magnificent 17th century Ducal mansion built on the site of the original Medieval Castle, with spectacular views across the city.

A vibrant museum and art gallery housing collections of silver, glass, armour and paintings, plus fifteen centuries of Nottingham history. The galleries also bring the best regional, national and international artist's work to the city.
Nottingham Castle is 10 minutes walk from Nottingham City centre, with easy access from train and bus stations. Parking is close by in one of many public carparks.

The Castle is a great place for children, with interactive displays, and an activity - led gallery bringing paintings to life, specifically for the under 5s plus a medieval - style playground in the grounds with covered picnic area.

Robin Hood Beer Festival
Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th October

After 31 years at the Victoria Leisure Centre the Nottingham Beer Festival has found a new home – and it promises to be bigger and better than ever!  The 2008 Festival will be held in the grounds of Nottingham Castle from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th October. To mark this momentous change the festival will be re-styled as “The Robin Hood Beer Festival”, but rest assured that it will have all of the key elements of the previous festivals including well over 400 quality real ales and ciders.

The beers and ciders will be featured in a huge marquee on the main castle green; however it is planned to stage the musical entertainment in the magnificent bandstand within the lower grounds. There will be a bar in a smaller tent positioned adjacent to slake the thirsts of those enjoying the music.

We hope to have a wider range of stalls, particularly food stalls selling local produce, and other attractions than was possible at the previous venue. Perhaps one of the most important improvements, apart from the splendid location itself, will be the much larger amount of space available, there will be much more room to enjoy your beer and we should not have the previous situation where would-be customers have to queue for hours in the hope of gaining admission because the permitted number of customers will be far, far higher.

Live entertainment every night.

Open Thursday to Saturday 11.00 am to 11.00 pm and Sunday 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm.

Admission:  Thursday and Friday - lunch £3.50 - evening - £5.00.  Saturday - £3.50 all day.  Sunday lunch - free.
CAMRA members - £1.50 at all times.
