It is also important to us that our members get good value and share good (and bad) feedback about the Attractions, Parks, Restaurants and Gigs they have attended. This way the best places are promoted, the not so good ones are made aware of feedback and you are informed and looked after.
Spread the word
Please mention that you found the venue on the Things to do website when you visit somewhere, they may not be interested but the good ones will take notice and the word will spread.
Also, please write a review when you have visited somewhere. This feedback is vital, both to other members and to the venues themselves. If you know of a venue that is not featured on this site, please let us know or tell them that they are not in. We have a team of people adding information every day but we can miss things.
Your profile and messages we send
You will notice if you look at the beginning of our web address that it begins with https:// this means that our entire site is hosted in a secure, encrypted environment. This is unusual but emphasises that privacy and protection of any data you provide us with is very important to us. We never disclose any of your personal data to any third party. Any special offers or discounts you may agree to receive are always sent via our secure message broadcast system and the Theatre, Attraction or Restaurant etc has no idea who you are (only, for example, that you like Chinese food and live within ten miles of them). You tell us instantly to stop any messages and even control what categories and level of interest you have: you are in control.
Please come back from time to time and update your profile, adjust the sliding scales to tell us what you like and what you hate, or what sections suit you and what does not. We use this information to create a “Match score” against every entry in our database: this way we can order the many results so the ones that match your preferences appear first. If some items are in the wrong order so appear below results that you like less, you can instantly adjust your preferences by clicking “Adjust preferences” on either item and tweaking your profile in the relevant areas, then click “Reorder my results” and see how they have changed and perhaps other choices have appeared: go on, have a go, it is fun.
