Today in Nottinghamshire there are at least fifty things going on that would interest you, if you only knew about them.  Many do not cost anything, lots are things for the whole family and the kids, others are perfect for couples, individuals and adrenalin junkies!  You may be the type of person that scans every newspaper, website and bulletin to find out what activities there are, or you may be the type that needs a car jack to get you up and out.  Either way, Things to do in Nottinghamshire will do all the hard work for you and let you know everything that is going on that we think will be of interest. We will even send you information about your favourite activities, events, open days, plays, concerts and festivals: whatever you ask us to - especially when there are special offers and discounts up for grabs. So get up, get out more and save money.

Theatres and live venues:

Nottingham Ice Arena has everything from Boyzone in concert to the X Factor.  Rock City may suit you more if you prefer heavy metal and alternative loud bands. The Royal Centre is always presenting shows for all tastes, from 'Sinatra' to 'Fiddler on the Roof'. Nottingham Arts Theatre has a production of Godspell and Nottingham Playhouse - one of the country’s leading producing theatres - always has a packed schedule of live music, dance and entertainment. This is a small selection of the Concert halls and theatres in Nottinghamshire.

Things to do for Children

What activities are there for children?  This is a vital question, especially with holidays always coming up.  Nottinghamshire has a massive range of kids activities in every major town, not just central Nottingham but Mansfield, Newark, Beeston, Arnold, Calverton, Hucknall, Kirkby, Worksop etc.  From soft play areas, child orientated theme parks, educational activities and outdoor pursuits, we know that if the children are happy, life is so much easier.

Sport and outdoor activities

Our sporting facilities are second-to-none and include the nationally recognised Nottingham Racecourse, The National Watersports Centre, Nottingham Tennis Centre and National Ice Centre, as well as football at Nottingham Forest & Notts County and cricket at historic Trent Bridge. All of this lies on the doorstep of some of Britain’s most stunning countryside – from the woodlands of Sherwood Forest and the magnificent country houses and parks of the Dukeries, to the rolling hills of the Vale of Belvoir.
